It's the song of the redeemed.

I love music, all kinds of music. And the songs in the Bible have always been of special interest to me. There are many songs or poems in the Bible. The Book of Psalms is a songbook. The Books of Isaiah and Jeremiah have many songs in them. But the song I can't wait to hear is the one recorded in the Book of Revelation. It is often called the song of the redeemed. Listen to the words and imagine the sights and sounds of this not too distant day.

"And they sang a new song, saying,
'Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth'" (Revelation 5:9-10 NASB).

We will join that group if we have made Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives. If we have embraced His sacrifice for us, we will join the chorus of people from every nation, every tongue and every corner of the earth. We will sing of His great love and mighty power. What a song that will be. I can hardly wait.

Throughout the Book of Revelation, we see the songs of heaven. It must be a musical place. In Revelation 19 we have this song:

"After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,
'Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God'" (Revelation 19:1 NASB).

Sounds like the song by the Newsboys called "He Reigns." And He does, on every continent, in every corner of the world. No matter who is elected or who overthrows the government; no matter who may claim the power, He has all the power. He is the Lord. And one day all of us who proclaim Him to be Lord will sing the song of the redeemed.
Just as the Newsboys say

It's every tribe, every tongue every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir.
It's all God's children singing,
Glory Glory, Hallelujah He reigns,
He reigns.

Will you join the song? Will you be among the redeemed singing of the One Who saved us? Will you join this choir? You've been invited.
